1. Who we are
Anchorsmith is operated by EMP Softworks LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. EMP Softworks LLC is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What we collect
We collect the account information you provide (such as your email address), the documents you choose to save to the cloud, product usage events (such as account creation, document saves, exports, checkout completion, subscription activation, and aggregate tool usage), and basic technical data needed to operate the service (such as authentication sessions and error logs).
3. How we use it
We use your data to authenticate you, store and render your documents, process subscriptions, understand product usage, and keep the service secure and reliable. Account product usage events are tied to your account. Anonymous tool usage is not tied to an account or session identifier. We keep product usage events for up to 13 months to improve Anchorsmith. We do not record your email address, IP address, document names, or document contents in product usage events. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your documents
Anonymous scratchpad work stays in your browser and is not uploaded unless you sign in and save. Documents you save to the cloud are stored on your behalf and are accessible only to you, enforced by per-user access controls.
5. Processors
We rely on service providers to run Anchorsmith: Supabase for our database, authentication, and document storage; Stripe and PayPal to process subscription payments; Resend to send account email; and Vercel to host the application. They process data only to provide these services to us, and we do not authorise them to use it for their own purposes.
6. Cookies and sessions
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
7. Your choices
You can access, export, or delete your account data. Deleting your account removes your saved documents from our active systems, subject to limited retention required for legal or security reasons.
